After visiting Copain in Paris when I was there visiting the Department of Trade and Export, I was genuinely excited to see they’ve just opened in Covent Garden and I went straight down to try it. As someone who is gluten free, finding a bakery that feels normal (in the best way) is rare and eating anything indulgent is not normally on the cards for Celiacs. Copain absolutely delivers in the best way possible. The chocolate babka pastries are indulgent and beautifully baked, the sandwiches are generous and satisfying, and everything is 100% gluten free, no “this is good for gluten free.” It’s actually really really good. For anyone who misses proper bakery moments without the worry, this place is a joy. Paris level quality, now in London, and honestly...it’s about time London raises the game for Celiacs
